A Lifetime Ago… is primarily a memoir about growing up in the post-Beatles and pre-MTV era of Watergate, Star Wars, and Farrah Fawcett-Majors posters. The stories included in this blog are based on actual events. Some dramatic license may be taken here and there. While most of the names have been changed to protect against butthurt, most situations and individuals described should be familiar to those close enough and with long enough memories.
The author, if he can be called such, is a member of the generational class that feels too young to be a retiring Baby Boomer and too old to be an angst-driven Gen Xer. After twenty years at the same job he hit his mid-life crisis and quit that job to pursue his dream of being a writer. A lifelong member of the human race, he loves his family and friends, loves to travel the American West, loves the game of baseball, and feels nothing but ill will for Brussels sprouts.
